Jeez I can't even count anymore. I have actually changed 3 poopy diapers already today. And 2 pee pee ones for a total of 5 diapers by 10a. I am recording this because I find it fascinating that before kids I wouldn't even be out of bed by 10a on a Saturday and in the future if I am having a bad morning I can look back at this blog and say, "Well at least I haven't had to change 5 diapers this morning!". 2 of those poopy diapers were during my husband's nap.

First entry
Thanks to E. for suggesting this. I always thought bloggers were losers with no lives but then I used to journal all of the time before email and I realized that blogging is exactly the same thing as journaling. And if you left your journal around for somebody to read it then there you go, you are a blogger.
I think this is a fab way to record life with my offspring, since I am sure my actual memory will fail me as I continue to age. (I think that is a symptom of PTSD) Of course now that I am faced with an empty page my mind is devoid of anything witty or amusing to report on.
We started the morning off the usual way: me lying on my side with my nipple inserted in Jake's mouth, like a mother sow and her piglet. Bekah is alternating between yelling mommy and daddy from her bedroom hoping we will let her out even though the sun is barely up. Jake finishes eating and I go release Bekah and her brother from behind baby gate #3. Everyone piles into bed and there is pushing, shoving, fighting for binkies and lots of hugs and kisses. We watch a movie of Mike dancing on E.'s phone that is reminiscent of the Sprockets from old SNL.
We slither out of bed, change 3 urine soaked diapers, struggle with each kid to dress them, for which I am forever grateful to SBHC for teaching me how to dress naked and crazed humans that don't want to be dressed. Bekah wants to be "daked". We have a discussion about boobies and then we all go downstairs to drink lots of coffee (me) and eat pancakes (everyone). Jake has a poo, E goes back to take a nap (what a shocker) and all 3 monkeys are watching Zooboomafoo. But Jake needs a bottle and a nap and I need more coffee and to fold laundry so I am going to sign off this first entry.
